All about Lipitor » OTHER POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS WITH LIPITOR
LIPITOR can sometimes cause side effects in some individuals.
Uncommon conditions can be with patients taking LIPITOR. This means that for every 10,000 patients taking LIPITOR, at least 9,900 are not expected to have these side effects.
These include:
Anorexia; numbness or tingling in the fingers and toes; vomiting; itching; rash; muscle cramps; unexpected bleeding or bruising; ringing in the ears and head; weight gain; amnesia (loss of memory); itchy rash; impotence; hair loss.
Some patients were affected rare conditions.
These include:
Reductions in sensation of skin to light touch or pain, pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas leading to stomach pain),muscle tenderness, blistering rash.
Very rare conditions affect patients taking LIPITOR.
These include:
Hepatitis (liver inflammation), jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes), angioneurotic oedema (swelling of the face, tongue and windpipe which can cause great difficulty in breathing), Stevens-Johnson syndrome (serious blistering condition of the skin, mouth, eyes and genitals), erythema multiforme (patchy red rash), rhabdomyolysis (serious muscle pain and weakness, often associated with fever). Increases and decreases in blood sugar levels have also been seen.
If you get any of these, or any other unusual effects, tell your doctor or pharmacist at once.
