All about Lipitor » WARNINGS

Do not take Lipitor without consultation with your doctor. Before taking Lipitor, tell your doctor if you have a chronic muscular liver disease, disease, require major surgery, or have a blood disorder. You may not be able to take Lipitor, or special monitoring during treatment if you have any of the conditions listed above.
Lipitor is not for use in children younger than 10 years of age. Young girls must have had their first menstrual period before taking this medication.
Don’t eat foods that are high in fat or cholesterol. Lipitor will not be effective. You should follow a cholesterol-lowering diet.
Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while being treated with this medication unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. Grapefruit juice can increase the amount of certain medications in your blood.
Both Alcohol and atorvastatin can damage to the liver.Alcohol can raise triglyceride levels. Discuss the use of alcohol with your doctor so that the potential for liver problems can be determined.

The following warnings are available for this medication:
1)Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice.
2)Do not take if pregnant.
3)Obtain advice for OTCs.
4)Take as directed.
5)Take with food/milk.
