All about Lipitor » WHAT OTHER DRUGS WILL AFFECT LIPITOR?
Before taking Lipitor, talk to your doctor if you are taking any of the following drugs:
1)Sandimmune, Neoral;
2)digitalis, Lanoxin, Lanoxicaps;
3)E-Mycin, E.E.S., Ery-Tab, or Biaxin;
4)Lopid, clofibrate (Atromid-S), or fenofibrate (Tricor);
5)Nicolar, Nicobid, Slo-Niacin;
6)an antifungal medication such as itraconazole, fluconazole (Diflucan), or Nizoral;
7)HIV or AIDS medication such as Crixivan, Viracept, Norvir, lopinavir-ritonavir (Kaletra), or Invirase, Fortovase.
You may not be able to use Lipitor, or you may need dosage adjustments or special tests during treatment, if you are taking any of these drugs
There may be other drugs not listed that can affect Lipitor. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not take a new medication without consultation with your doctor.
